Bella and Carter meet Jackson and learn about Brody

This was the first time they saw Jackson.
The nurse was cleaning him up and the kids got to watch.

When she was done she lifted him up to face Bella and Carter.

They had so much fun watching everything they were doing to Jackson. They couldn't wait to touch him though.

Mike with the very excited new big brother and big sister. Jackson was all cleaned up and they were waiting for the nurse to bring him out so they could bring him to Mommy. They were so excited to be the ones to bring him to me.

On the way the nurse got a little stool and let Bella hold him in the hallway. Bella felt so special.

She did such a great job. She was so excited. I just love her smile in this picture. I just wish I could have seen it for myself.
After holding Jackson for a few minutes she helped bring the baby into the room to see me for the first time since the OR. It was such a nice surprise.

Bella couldn't wait to hold him again.

She did such a great job she earned a BIG SISTER bracelett. The nurse explained that she needed this bracelett just like Daddy to come back in to visit. Bella felt so special. This made me cry. It was such a nice thing to do.


Carter finally got his chance to hold Jackson. He was so cute. He kept saying, "Hi Jackson." He was so quiet and sweet. I cannot wait to see how he is with them. This is a great start. I love him so much.

Bella and Carter holding Jackson one last time before they went home for the night. I was so sad to see them go. I am really going to miss them while I am in the hospital. I think I already do.

Happy Birth Day Jackson and Brody

Baby A was born at 5:11. He came out crying and looked great. We saw his big blue eyes and light hair and knew instantly that he would be the one we called Jackson.


He was born at 5:11 and also weighed 5 lbs 11 oz.

Happy Birthday Jackson. We all love you already.

Baby B was born at 5:13. We named him Brody and he already looks like a Brody. He was crying and sounded great.

Brody was the bigger baby and weighed 6lbs 5 oz.

Happy Birthday Brody. They have decided you need a little help so they took you to the special care nursery. I only got to see you for a quick second. Hopefully I will see you in a few hours.

The boys are here!!!! I am so happy everything went well. I will post more pics as soon as I can.

My water broke

What a crazy day. I was sitting on the big chair talking to Mike. He was at the grocery store and called to see if we needed anything. As I was giving him a list my water broke. I said, "I think my water just broke!" I stood up and realized I was right. I then said, "My water DID break you've got to come home NOW!" I called the Dr. and then started to call my sisters, Mom, Dad and Aunt. I needed someone to come help with Bella and Carter. Noone was home or answering their phones. Finally my mom answered and said she would come right over. I instantly hopped in the shower. When I got out my mom was already at my house, Mike walked in a few minutes later and then my Aunt Patti came just as we were about to leave. My Mom and Aunt stayed with Bella and Carter. They got them dressed into their Big Brother and Big Sister outfits and brought themup to the hospital.

This is me after they got me all hooked up to the monitors. The nurse was asking me a ton of questions and preparing me for the c-section. They wanted to hold me off an hour or two but the babies had a different timeline. My contractions were aweful and coming faster and faster. I was 9 cm. dialated and in a lot of pain. The decision to move things up came quick.

weren't letting anyone in to see me except Mike at first because they were trying to beat the clock. Mike went out to see Bella and Carter who were a little nervous, scared and excited. He also went to give my Mom and Aunt an update. Here is a picture of Bella and Carter waiting to come in and see me.

This is when they took me into the OR to get me ready. Mike stayed behind until I was on the table ready to go. This was him right before he came in.


Here we go........about to be a family of 6!

Twins Again!

We are about to have our second set of twins and we are busy preparing for their arrival. Bella and Carter are so excited. They know it is going to happen this month so they have a lot of questions. A few days ago Carter wanted to know if we have tweezers to change the babies diapers. I didn't understand why he thought we would need tweezers. Then he told me we needed them because the babies were so small. He held up his little finger to show me the size. What I didn't know is he thought they were the size of the egg and sperm we explained in the beginning. He was so cute I just wanted to bit his little cheeks. I showed him with my hands how big they would be. He was so much more excited when he realized they would be so big. Bella is more concerned with what they are going to do to me. Because I am having a c-section I get out of the whole birthing explaination a little easier. I don't want Bella horrified. For some reason cutting a big hole in my belly and pulling them out doesn't seem as scary. It seems more normal to 6 year olds. Everyone is helping. Mike is getting the kids on the bus every morning so I can get some rest. The kids are helping with housework and keeping their rooms clean. Jen has been coming to most of my DR appointments which are every week now and also get the kids off the bus for me if I am going to be late. Mike and the kids painted the nursery today. Here are a few pics.

The kids had so much fun helping Daddy. I think today made it seem a lot more real. Once the paint dries I need to get in there to decorate and put everything away. This nesting thing is killing me. It just started and I already want to go to Babies R Us and buy everything.
